OUAT’s ‘A Curious Thing’ was directed by Ralph Hemecker. Writers were Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz.

In FTL the lost year, Belle (Emilie de Ravin) crashes a meeting with The EQ (Lana Parrilla), Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin), Charming (Josh Dallas), Phillip (Julian Morris) and Aurora (Sarah Bolger). They were brainstorming how to fix their Wicked problem aka Zelena (Rebecca Mader).

Aurora and Phillip finally admit they withheld information when everyone came back. Greenie needs something vital for her evil plans to work. She threatened their unborn child. They had to spy for her or else. Belle is about to update them on her and Baelfire’s (Michael Raymond-James) research on resurrecting Rumple (Robert Carlyle) when Zelena flies in on her broom.

Wicked turns Aurora and Phillip into flying monkeys as punishment. She’s so bold as to tell the others exactly what she wants. Knowing all the while they won’t be able to stop her. Searching the entire Enchanted Forest for almost a year proves fruitless. Time for an ace in the hole: The Dark One.

Somehow the imp is back and prisoner inside The Dark Castle. Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) talks sense into the rest of the new War Consul comprised of EQ, Snowing, Belle, Granny (Beverley Elliott) and Grumpy (Lee Arenberg). They want to storm the castle and hope that everything works itself out.

He tells them they’ll never make it pass the main gate. Rumple’s place is riddled with deadly traps. Robin knows where each one is located due to knowledge from his previous break-in. He can set them off without anyone getting hurt. Belle gets her rambling man to give them a clue. They need to find Glinda (Sunny Mabrey) the Good Witch of The South.

In SB, Outlaw Queen steal kisses before Regina has to leave for a meeting. She‘s already late but doesn’t care. That is until Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) catches Madam Mayor in the act. It hurts that her son still thinks of her as a stranger.

Another session this time around with Snowing and Emma (Jennifer Morrison). They desperately need luck on their side. Zelena is batting 1000. Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) is acting awfully shady. Is he on Wicked’s payroll or deliberately sabotaging events on his own?

The good: Have Kleenex at the ready. You’ll need them. All the snark. A rhyming Rumple and Robert Carlyle singing. Love the cast’s new wardrobe. The Evil Queen anti-heroine rocks. How was the imp brought back? How did the heroes learn Zelena had him?

Best lines: Remind me again why we forgive her? You want to sneak into Rumple’s castle where he’s being held captive by the wicked witch? Name’s Grumpy not stupid. So if we get our memories back, we might already know how to defeat her. We just need to break this curse. I don’t care if they’re dancing daffodils. I never liked pets.

The bad: Greenie doesn’t consider Belle to be a threat of any kind.

The ugly: What Zelena needs to enact her plans.
