Hannibal’s ‘Mukozuke’ was directed by Michael Rymer. Writers were Ayanna A. Floyd, Steve Lightfoot and Bryan Fuller.

Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) tries his best to comfort Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) after Bella’s (Gina Torres) suicide attempt. Jack is grateful Hannibal was able to save her. He couldn’t ask for a better friend.

Freddie Lounds (Lara Jean Chorostecki) goes back to the observatory. Who is she meeting? Who is she going to exploit this time around? Ms. Stalkerazzi finds something that renders her speechless. Although she does has enough presence of mind to snap several pictures.

Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) strokes Dr. Frederick Chilton’s (Raúl Esparza) ego again. He convinces him Dr. Abel Gideon (Eddie Izzard) is the key to uncovering the Chesapeake Ripper’s identity. Chilton could finally have what has always eluded him.

Fame. He would forever be linked to the infamous serial killer. Everyone will remember his name. Snakey makes it happen. Gideon thinks he’s been returned to the Baltimore State Hospital for the Criminally Insane so Chilton can torment him. But he refuses to tell Will anything about the Ripper.

Hannibal learns from Snakey Gideon is back in his facility. He insists he be allowed to interview him. Gideon pretends to have never seen Dr. Lecter before. Yes he knows him by reputation but this is the first time they’ve actually met.

Will is on a roll. He asks Lounds to visit him. He wants to use her to contact his secret admirer. Her demographics are murderers and people obsessed with murderers. Hannibal is displeased with the amount of attention Tattle Crime is paying to Will and the new kid.

Graham’s admirer definitely has a serious fanboy crush. Orderly Matthew Brown (Jonathan Tucker) loved the article about them. The fact that Will was able to hide inside the FBI impressed him. He remarks Will has talent far greater than he does. Brown did what he could to exonerate him. But Will wasn’t set free like he hoped. What must he do to make that happen?

The good: Hannibal wears regular clothes. Dr. Gibeon is back. DarkWill! He deliberately manipulates Chilton into helping him. The good doctor could be the one to catch the Ripper. Love the fadeout transitions or match cuts. Raúl Esparza and Eddie Izzard trade quips and their character’s mutual dislike. You’ll regret it if you miss the last seven minutes of the show.

Best lines: I gave him a peak before I snatched down the shades. Am I your evidence? Oh you’re in trouble, Mr. Graham. He should be careful what he wishes for. Did you really think I was above that sort of thing? You’re setting a new standard of care?

The bad: What did the troublemaker Lounds see? Gloating is Lounds’ default setting. Someone has blood on their hands. Does Lounds know the meaning of the word discreet? Dr. Bloom is catnip to serial killers.

The ugly: What or who did Katz see in Lecter’s basement that unnerved the normally steely agent?
