OUAT’s ‘Dark Hollow’ was directed by Guy Ferland. Writers were Kalinda Vazquez and Andrew Chambliss.
In Storybrooke, Team 7 is back and on the case. Grumpy (Lee Arenberg), Doc (David-Paul Grove), Sneezy (Gabe Khouth), Sleepy (Faustino Di Bauda), Dopey (Jeffrey Kaiser), Happy (Michael Coleman) and Bashful (Mig Macario) enjoy a rare danger free vacation. They spend their lunch hour by the beach.
All are ready to help when Ariel (Joanna García Swisher) arrives looking for Belle (Emilie De Ravin). Blue Superior (Keegan Connor Tracy), Archie (Raphael Sbarge) and Granny (Beverley Elliot) offer much needed guidance and advice. Belle has been down in the dumps. Ariel giving her a task from Rumple (Robert Carlyle) is just what she needs.
In Neverland, Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) is still upset at Charming (Josh Dallas). Why is it hard for her to understand that he was afraid? Or had a moment of doubt? Tinker Bell (Rose McIver) is happy the Charming crew finally has an exit plan. She has a brief reunion chat with Bae (Michael Raymond-James).
Is Felix (Peter Croft) content to follow orders? If Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) was stripped of his powers would Felix and the Lost Boys turn against him? Better yet side with Henry’s family and live free on the island. Could they live with parents, rules and etc? They might do better living together in the Enchanted Forest than returning to Storybrooke.
Does Henry (Jared S. Gilmore) want Pan to learn he knows his family is there? He’s always on the verge of spilling the beans. Why isn’t he telling Pan all the stories written about him? Learning what he can and can’t do. Why has magic disappeared? Henry knows Pan is lying to him. Yet he keeps trying to be his friend. He needs to gather Intel. So he can be ready for Operation Save Henry.
The good: Team 7! Archie! Sassy Granny! Blue Superior! Missing Ruby, Geppetto, Dr. Whale, Jefferson, August and Graham. What has Maurice and King George been up too? When will Sidney escape from the secret hospital asylum? He needs to make Regina’s life miserable.
Thank goodness for real RumBelle. Grumpy’s crack about a dress code. Rumple’s holographic message via the sand dollar. Belle makes a new BFF in Ariel. Surprise at who is Pan’s other prisoner. Will they help Henry and the rescue crew? Will Storybrooke get more new residents? Rumple may have a new pawnshop assistant. Ariel was drooling over his stuff. Ariel had the best lines.
The bad: Careful with the Hellraiser Pandora box. Were people told to look out for strangers? SB needs an alert system. Hook and Bae’s stupid fight. Henry following Felix into Pan’s obvious trap.
Why wasn’t Belle going through every book in Rumple’s shop and the library? Working nonstop to find a way to save him? She would’ve been doing something other than feeling helpless and abandoned.
The ugly: Strangers made it inside Storybrooke again.
