OUAT’s ‘Quite a Common Fairy’ was directed by Alex Zakrzewski. Writer was Jane Espenson.

In pre curse FTL, Rumple (Robert Carlyle) thought Regina (Lana Parrilla) was dead since she stopped her lessons. He tells her she can’t hide from the darkness within and to get back to work. An accident leads to her making a new friend in Tinkerbell (Rose McIver).

Tink encourages Regina to voice her frustrations then offers to find her next true love. Regina doesn’t think that’s possible but goes along with it anyway. Her fear and insecurity get the better of her. Just when you think Regina found the sister she never had its over.

In Neverland, Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) tells the group he knows someone that may help. There’s a fairy that lives there and she knows the location of Peter Pan’s (Robbie Kay) camp. Regina isn’t thrilled. She and Tink fell out a long time ago. And probably won’t help because of her.

After Tinkerbell reveals why she was stranded, Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) extends an olive branch. If she leads them to the camp, she can return with everyone to Storybrooke. Hook tells Charming (Josh Dallas) he knows his secret and tries to help. And states he should tell the others. Charming refuses. The rest are too wrapped in the rescue op to notice or suspect anything. What will they do when they find out?

In post curse FTL, Bae’s (Michael Raymond-James) portal idea puts someone close to Robin Hood (Sean Maguire) in danger. Mulan (Jamie Chung) hopes it works without people getting hurt or killed. Thank goodness the plan comes together and Bae arrives in Neverland.

The good: Rumple’s joke about roasted swan. Just how far into the future can he see? A century? Two centuries? Keegan Connor Tracy. Blue Superior lays down the law. Regina having an uncharacteristic selfless moment or two. Rule breaking fairy Tinkerbell is a matchmaker. More Rose McIver as Tink please. Why was blank Regina’s true love? Was it because they both lost someone?

Regina’s shocking move shows Tink how much she loves Henry. Was Roland played by the same child actor who was little Bae? Robin Hood and all of his Merry Men live in the Dark Castle. Mulan’s unrequited love affects her relationship with both Philip and Aurora. As a result she makes a life altering decision. Who else thinks Tink and Belle would become best friends? Rumple might even like her.

The bad: Replaying a debt equals Bae’s risky plan to open a portal. Was helping Regina the reason Tinkerbell was banished to Neverland? Was Peter Pan telling Henry the truth or another lie? Poor Mulan. She got her heart broken. Will we learn why Blue Superior is so hardcore? She refuses to give anyone any second chances. Did she have to choose between love and duty? What is her story?

The ugly: Not enough Rumple.
